Samsung RV510 15 6 inch Laptop review

Samsung RV510 / 15.6-inch Laptop review
Samsung has launched the 15.6-inch Rv510 easy access and efficient laptop. Priced at around $ 480, it is certainly possible, but because it uses the Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4500 chip modes could in fact be so strong? Samsung had the ability, good looks and computer design Rv510 tradition. The elegant black cover and silver and black with a keyboard and palm rest, give it looks more premium than expected probably price.Samsung RV 510 is a powerful notebook with a 15.6-inch Rv510 all attractive prices. Dell vostro 1000 battery comes with a premium dual-core Intel Core processor T4500. Graphics Card Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 4500M. Glossy screen is 15.6 inches and 16.9 inches with 1366 x 768 pixels.

As business and Samsung P530 Rev 510 uses a hybrid keyboard and isolated in a traditional style. He isolated a wide, flat keys, but they are stronger on a traditional keyboard groups. The results are excellent. The keyboard is almost in the middle of a lot of flexibility and the travel and subsistence expenses in the form of species TotalMix look good. Almost all buttons are displayed in full size Samsung also has to fit in the room was on the arrow keys and a full numeric keypad. Here is small compared with some other 15-inch laptop with Dell vostro 1310 battery , but the matte finish to keep your fingers glide easily on the surface, and two chrome buttons were prepared very accommodating.
Samsung RV510 / 15.6-inch Laptop review
Samsung is the screen, matte or glossy finish is gone, but it’s not a bad thing, because it reduces glare matte surface itself, which is more convenient to use for a long time. LED backlighting is very strong, which in turn color differences. Viewing angles are also a good standard of budget laptops of Dell vostro 1510 battery . Resolution 1366 x768 pixels is not so great, although the text, images and video can still be reasonably sharp.Samsung not too generous selection of ports. For example, should be satisfied with only a VGA port, the cover with the HDMI connection. You can also just three USB ports, and RV 510 no eSATA port or the ExpressCard slot. No Bluetooth, but 802.11n Wi-Fi enabled.

Shop front Rv510 is impressive. This is a huge 640 GB hard drive, which offers enough space to store multimedia files such as movies and photos. It is also an SD card slot and front spoiler and side.To DVD recorder hidden right keep the price low for a laptop, Samsung is using the Intel Pentium dual-core T4500 processor with 2.3 GHz clock frequency and high-spec, Intel Core chips i3 . The processor supports a healthy 4GB of RAM, and thanks to the fact that Samsung has gone for 64-bit Windows 7 Home Basic, this laptop is using Dell latitude d820 battery .Unfortunately close PCMark05 benchmark text shown denied. If it is clear that the machine lacked pizzazz into contact with more demanding applications, even if it’s a great day tasks such as e-mail, word processing, internet surfing or watching the BBC iPlayer.

Instead, opt for a separate graphics card, but Samsung does not put a plain old Intel GMA integrated graphics processor. Integrated graphics has never been the result of a very important test of 3DMark06. Rv510 gently in only 904 points, worse than some netbooks. That mean that you throw all the ideas you can play newer games out the window, but the chance to play many older 3D titles is given. GPU works perfectly, but when it comes to more mundane tasks, such as high-definition video decoding. We have had problems playing HD streams on the BBC iPlayer, for example, or high-definition movies in MKV format of Asus Eee PC 904 battery .

Less powerful processor and graphics card also seems to assume that a decent performance, when it comes to battery life. The most intensive battery test eating, it’s been chugging away for 1 hour and 26 minutes, which is not bad 15.6-inch device. Battery Battery Eater test simulates the worst case scenario, so that a real bear will be a lot more than mains. The Samsung Rev 510 is a beautiful machine with an impressive display and keyboard. Its processor grunt, however, and 3D performance is very bad. His initial bid was originally booked and inspiron 710m battery pretty good, but it’s starting to look less attractive as cheaper and faster than the Acer Aspire 5741st.[batterytimes.info]

ASUS T91MT TOUCH SCREEN TABLET REVIEW

Asus has upgraded its Eee PC T91. The new version dubbed T91MT has Windows 7 Home Premium and supports multi-touch features.

Configuration
Processor: Intel Atom Z520 (1.33GHz, 533MHz FSB)
Display: 8.9 inch LED-backlit resistive multi-touch display
Storage: 32GB Solid State Drive
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium
Graphics: Intel GMA 500 Graphics
Memory: 1GB DDR 667MHz
Price as configured: $549.99

Build quality
Build quality is excellent. The notebook looks and feels solid in your hand. The T91MT is ultraportable. The netbook measures just 1 inch in thickness and weighs 2 pounds. The bottom of the netbook provides an easy access panel to the RAM. If you need to upgrade other components you will have to disassemble the whole netbook.

Screen
The new and improved T91MT has a multi-touch display that accepts two-finger input. The previous version had a single-input touch-screen. The display is good. Colors look bright and lively. The viewing angles are also decent. Another nice feature is that the display on T91MT is less glossy than the display on T91.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard shows absolutely no flex at all and delivers a nice typing experience. The touchpad is a Synaptics model. It is neither too glossy nor too textured. Touchpad sensitivity is good.

Ports and Slots
Port selection on T91MT is average. There are 2 USB 2.0 ports, headphone, microphone and VGA out ports. Other notable features include 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth v2.1, a 0.3 Megapixel webcam and 2x MMC/SD/SDHC Card Readers. There are no HDMI, FireWire or eSATA ports.

Performance
Performance is sub-par. The T91MT has a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor which is much slower than the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 found in most netbooks. The integrated GMA 500 graphics is also less powerful than the GMA 950 chipset common in netbooks. On the plus side, the GMA 500 is capable of some HD video decoding with a few tweaks.

Battery life
The Atom Z520 may not be very good at handling CPU-intensive tasks, but it is highly power efficient. The T91MT has no difficulty lasting for 5 hours on a single charge.

Pros
Reasonably priced
Good build quality
Nice display
Good battery life
Light-weight

Cons

Battery is internal.
Poor processor

HP PAVILION DM1 NETBOOK REVIEW

The HP Pavilion DM1 occupies the space between an Atom netbook and a full-fledged notebook. It can easily compete with other 11.6 inch models like Acer Aspire 1410 and Lenovo U150.

Build quality
Build quality is reasonably good. The screen lid, however, shows some flex. The Pavilion DM1 is as thin and light as any other netbook. The bottom of the netbook provides easy access panels for internal components so upgrading this netbook is easy.

Specifications
Processor: 1.2GHz Intel Celeron SU2300 processor
Graphics: integrated GMA 4500MHD
Memory: 2GB of RAM
Storage: 250GB hard drive
Battery: 6-cell

Other configurations with dual core Pentium SU4100 processor are also available.

Ports
Port selection is average. There are 3 USB ports, an HDMI port, Ethernet and WiFi 802.11b/g. There is only a single jack for mic and headphone.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard does offer a solid feel and good tactile feedback. It shows no signs of flex at all. But it is smaller for a 10 inch netbook. The touchpad disappoints. It doesn’t support multi-touch gestures which is kind of surprising because plenty of small and inexpensive netbooks now come with multi-touch touchpads. The buttons are stiff and noisy.

Screen and Speakers
The 11.6 inch display comes with 1366 x 768 pixels. The display itself is good with good color and contrast. The Altec Lansing speakers produce great audio. The microphones are also great.

Battery life
The 6-cell lithium ion battery provides around 4.5 hours of runtime under normal use.

Performance
Performance is quite satisfactory. The netbook has enough power to handle day-to-day jobs like web browsing and word processing. The integrated Intel graphics can’t handle graphics rich video games but it is good enough to decode HD video (720p and 1080p).

Pros
High resolution display
Solid keyboard
Good speakers and microphone
Silent cooling system

Cons
Touchpad lacks multi-touch supports
Stiff and noisy touchpad buttons
Small keyboard
No Bluetooth or WiFI N

ASUS EEE PC 904HA QUICK REVIEW

The Asus EEE PC 904HA: A Cut Above The Rest Of The Mini-Notebook Market

Launched in September 2008, the Asus EEE PC 904HA joined the booming market of netbooks right at the time when demand for these mini-notebooks were growing almost exponentially, and competition for gaining leadership in the market was getting tough. And the Asus EEE PC 904HA definitely came into the picture in full force with its impressive specs and impressive price tag. Today, after the launch of many other mini-notebooks from various brands, the Asus EEE PC 904HA remains a popular model and continues to gain good reviews from new buyers. It is ideal as a second netbook or a mobile connectivity device for students and business travelers who are constantly on the go.

To begin with, the Asus EEE PC 904HA has a rather impressive price tag amounting to as low as USD 311.99. What’s more, the 904HA’s low price tag is even more surprising considering its high quality and highly impressive specifications that give it a slight edge in the netbook market. For one thing, its 8.9-inch monitor is just the right size so that the Asus EEE PC 904HA is ultra lightweight and very portable. Furthermore, it also boasts of the Super Hyper Engine, a technology that can only be found in EEE PCs in which your EEE netbook is made so efficient that it’s able to save up to 15% of power. The Asus EEE PC 904HA is so efficient, in fact, that it has a battery life that can last up to six hours.

The Asus EEE PC 904HA also has a built-in web camera for your communication needs, and a storage space of 160GB which makes it convenient to store various forms of multimedia. It runs on Windows XP Home and has Windows Live Messenger also pre-installed.

And while the Asus EEE PC 904HA is light on the pocket, it’s a sight for sore eyes too – with its stylish design, advanced Infushion casing that’s both scratch-resistant and gorgeous, the Asus EEE PC 904HA is a slim, sassy model of a mini-notebook and definitely not just a boring box of a laptop.

Don’t expect the Asus EEE PC 904HA to be a multimedia, all-in-one entertainment powerhouse of a PC – it’s meant to be basic and simple, but that isn’t to say that it can’t be tricked out. The Asus EEE PC 904HA can be easily upgraded as a user wishes, giving it yet another edge against other competitors in the netbook arena.
Overall, the Asus EEE PC 904HA is a definite steal for a price tag of a little over three hundred US dollars, and with all its impressive specs, it’s definitely a stand-out amidst the sea of mini-notebooks that are out in the market today.

Price: Approx. $300

Laptops vary in price depending on the specifications of the machine’s typical components. Details like the hard drive space, the computers memory and also the processor matter a lot in determining the price of the laptop. There are, however, fast computers that are valued below $400. The major types of laptops that cost under $400 are those by OLPC. OLPC is an acronym, which means ‘One Laptop per Child’. A charitable organization helps in providing educational tools to the less fortunate in the developing nations.

This charitable organization deals with XO laptop computers where XO develops laptops that cost under $400. XO receives profits of between 5% and 10% from the sale of these computers. The OLPC is nonprofit making only about two million dollars from each of its members to facilitate the manufacture of these laptops. Hence, they are made cheap to help the developing nations. Also, when one buys, he or she promotes the education of the less fortunate. Therefore, most people buy such laptops to help other people more than for their personal use.

Most laptops that cost under $400 are second hand laptop computers. These second hand laptops are good also as the have only aged but have good functioning capabilities. There are also new laptops that go for less that amount. These laptops are from major companies like Acer, Toshiba and also HP. They provide an option to get reliable laptops for less than $400. The only thing is that they make them and install Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Linux operating system (OS). They also function well without the Windows Vista which is at service pack 1 (SP1). When one also wants to have a good laptop, one should consider a customized laptop. This is where one chooses the specifications that he or she wants to have in his or her laptop. One can give this specification to the manufacturer or to an assembling company to combine the specifications that one wants. It will definitely cost less than what would have cost one to buy a new laptop with the high specifications.

Many organizations and companies have come up with a strategy that can help more people to buy laptops. Hence with their collaborations, they have developed laptops that cost under $400 with major companies like Toshiba, Compaq and also IBM teaming up with other organizations, which will have a deal to make cheap laptop and notebook computers. Such major organizations usually refurbish laptops that are in bad condition and sell them at cheaper prices to the market. Used laptops are also sold by these organizations at a cheaper price. Other laptops that cost under $400 can come about when a company decides to give discounts to people according to their age, a season like Christmas and organizations like schools corporate discounts for companies or even the military.

SONY VAIO P GETS A SPECS BUMP

Sony has updated its Vaio P line of netbooks. The new models will have Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional as against the previous models which had Windows Vista. Sony has also upgraded the hardware. The new specifications aren’t totally new. Many of them were already available on Japanese models.

The upgraded models will run on Intel Atom Z5xx series processors clocking at up to 2GHz. They will also have up to 256GB of solid state flash storage. All models in the series have 8 inch display with 1600 x 768 pixels.

The processor is still an Atom Z5xx series processor, and it seems, Sony has no intention of upgrading it to the better N2xx series processor. The integrated GMA 500 graphics delivered reasonable performance during some demo sessions, but don’t expect it to handle high end games.

The biggest problem with the Sony Vaio P – its price – however remains unsolved. Even the cheapest models with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and an 80GB hard drive still cost around $849.99.

BEST USES FOR OLD USB FLASH DRIVES

If youre like me you have probably purchased well over a dozen flash drives (not to mention media cards) and sad to say most of them are outdated (in terms of storage space). So if youre like me who cannot pass the offer of tinkering around with something than this project is for you (if you can find your old drives that is).

A couple of ideas include using it as a key for you computer. If you have a bunch of files on yout computer that are either classified or youre too embarrassed to share with the world than this option is for you. Windows allows you to use a USB drive as a physical key and thus the system will not turn on unless the USB drive is present.

The next idea is for portable software. Not everyone is a fan of Firefox and thus you might want to carry it around so you dont have to use IE, Opera or Safari. Most free programs allow you to install the programs on the USB drive and thus can be used on any computer that supports the software without the need to install it on the local machine.

And probably the best use of all is to use it as a virtual network computing (VNC) to access any computer you configure it with. While web based programs work good they lag alot and it is much nicer to have near actual speeds as if you were at your home computer. And best of all most VNC programs are free.

DELL STUDIO 17 REVIEW

Dell launches a classy outfit in Studio 17

Preceding year Dell to conclude realized that customers dont desire another anonymous, faceless black and gray notebook that gets gone astray in the crowd. Todays mobile cohort needs laptops that are as exclusive and fashionable as feasible. The result was the astonishingly nice-looking and astoundingly accepted 13.3" XPS M1330 and the 15.4" Dell XPS M1530. Taking things one step advanced, Dell revealed the extremely customizable Studio 17 laptops.

Design
The 1st time you witness at the Studio 17 its as if Dell added a small number of inches to the XPS M1530, cut out the brushed aluminum components, and presented a few more ways to tailor the look. The end effect is a remarkable looking desktop replacement notebook. I use the expression "desktop replacement" for the reason that the majority of the people in the market for a 17-inch laptop arent planning to lug their laptop everywhere and utilize it during customary airline travel.

Performance
At the conclusion of the day the most significant components of a notebook are the internal parts that do all the necessary work. Our review component came planted with the Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 process (2.5GHz) which proffers outstanding performance in terms of integer crunching and video encoding. The 3GB of structure RAM is sufficient to satisfy Vista and still offer enough RAM for most requirements. The 320GB Toshiba hard disk drive (HDD) in our assessment unit is a 5400rpm drive with high-quality performance but its meritorious mentioning that you can endow the Studio 17 with a 2nd HDD for additional storage and presentation.

The ATI Radeon HD 3650 devoted graphics accelerator card gives adequate power for standard gaming or 3D graphics work, but it would have been pleasant if Dell presented added devoted graphics options.

Conclusion
All things said and done, the Dell Studio 17 is the most striking 17-inch consumer laptop weve witnessed so far this year. The construct quality, choice of customizable variants, expandability, approach, and cost make this an exceptional choice if youre in the marketplace for a 17-inch laptop. Still, we would have preferred to observe more graphics card variants than just the incorporated Intel X3100 and devoted ATI Radeon HD 3650.

Pros
+ Gorgeous design
+ Solid assortment of obtainable configurations
+ Levelheaded battery life
+ Pleasant keyboard, touchpad and media buttons
+ Great constituent arrangement
+ Dell Dock is a pleasant attribute
+ Good assessment for the price

Cons
- No screw posts for VGA wire and no docking station connecting option
- No alternative for enhanced graphics than ATI Radeon HD 3650
